What is the Festival of Trees?
The first annual Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum Festival of Trees, sponsored by the Friends of the Museum board, will be an event you won’t want to miss! The festival will consist of trees decorated by local businesses, clubs and organizations. The decorated trees will be on display for the public at the museum beginning December 1.
The event will kick off with a special gala on Thursday, November 30 with the Lighting of the Trees. The museum will be open on Friday, December 1, Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3 for the public to view the trees. A silent auction will be held during the weekend’s events for all decorated trees.
Proceeds from this event will help with funding special exhibits and events at the museum. We are asking for your help in sponsoring this event.

Decorate a Tree
We are looking for businesses, organizations and even individuals interested in decorating a tree for the Festival of Trees.
The Museum will provide the trees and you provide the decorations. We will have a contest for the Best decorated tree and the trees will be auctioned off.
