Friends of the Museum | Oktibbeha Co Museum

Organized in 2008, the Friends of the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum assists the museum in its mission: preserving our community’s heritage and enhancing the collecting and interpreting of our history and culture. The Friends of the Museum hosts an annual event, Denim & Diamonds, to supplement funding for museum programs, projects, and celebrations.

The Friends of the Museum (FOM) is an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is registered annually with the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office as a charity. Donations to FOM are tax deductible.

Funds the rain garden and green-roof pavilion from donations
Assists with exhibits
Provides leadership for the My Oktibbeha project
Develops and funds the museum’s brochure (available at the museum)
Funded the exterior rejuvenation project
Conducts fundraising.
